Eclipse of ‘blue moon’ tonight…
SKY gazers in Bahrain will be able to witness a partial lunar eclipse of a “blue moon” tonight.
The moon will eclipse by eight per cent, said Bahrain Astronomical Society vice-president and Bahrain University applied physics professor Dr Waheeb Alnaser.

More than 500 budding film-makers from across the Middle East have entered two-minute movie clips of everyday life in contest being run as part of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) 2009.

Gulf poised to approve single GCC-wide visa
Gulf Cooperation Council immigration chiefs are expected to approve a single visa application system for Gulf states, Kuwait’s immigration chief said.

Meter running for taxi cheats
A new government-backed taxi service designed to eradicate cheating on fares will hit Bahrain’s roads in December, officials confirmed yesterday.
