Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al-Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al-KhalifaUnstoppabulls Racer and current Formula BMW Asia Champion Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa is all set to take on Riffa Football Club together with the Ferrari racing team. The event will kick off at the National Stadium on Wednesday 8th March at 7pm. Under the patronage of Commander of the National Guard, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the event is a charity match to raise money for the Mother and Child Society and Orphanage. Entrance is free and all are welcome.

Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa is in Bahrain for the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Celebrity race. He has been in a customized training programme to increase stamina, strengthen endurance muscles and improve co-ordination, so is currently in peak physical condition. This will be the first time the Unstoppabulls Racer will play football with Michael Schumacher who is known the world over for his fitness regime and Felipe Massa as well as the other Ferrari Racing Team members.

“I’m looking forward to this match; it’ll certainly be interesting to see how we get on against Riffa Club. Most people do not realize the high level of fitness required of racing drivers, particularly F1 racers. I’ll be leaving again for Europe next week and go back to my training programme to prepare for the new season which we look forward to announcing very soon” said Unstoppabulls racer, Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa.

Michael Schumacher was born January 3rd, 1969, to parents Rolf and Elisabeth Schumacher, in Hurt-Hermulheim, Germany. When Schumacher was four years old, his father gave him a pedal kart that he fixed up for him, inspired by some men in the Schumachers’ neighborhood who put a kart together themselves. This became Rolf Schumacher’s hobby, much to the advantage of son Michael.

Many ask what is the secret of Michael Schumacher’s success. Some say the key is his phenomenal level of fitness. He has always played lots of sports, and incorporates football, skiing, one-on-one basketball and mountain-biking into his fearsome schedule.

Many humans have a resting heart rate of around 70 beats per minute (bpm). But while the average gym-addict’s heart-rate hits around 160bpm during a workout, many professional drivers experience heart rates of around 200bpm. It’s the sort of rate that would cause most treadmill-plodders to pass out.
