Motorsport Art Exhibition

A collection of international and Bahraini fine art depicting the energy and spectacle of Formula One racing. Features the acclaimed work of Formula One artists Jill Bradley (portrait), Olivia Davis (abstract), Michel Comte (photography) and Bahraini talents Abbas Al Mosawi and Ella Prakash.
Yalla Bahrain! F1 Festival – Manama Carnival
Date: Friday, February 24
Location: The Corniche, King Faisal Highway, Manama (between the InterContinental Bahrain and the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel)
Time: 12pm-6.30pm
A parade of cars from the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) including single-seat racers, Mini Coopers, Caterhams, Hummers and Holden V8 Supercars. They will be joined by an array of Harley Davidson motorcycles and the Porsche GT3 Cup cars competing in the Porsche Michelin Supercup race, which supports the 2006 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. Red Bull stunt planes will provide the aerial excitement.
Jump Bahrain
Date: Friday, March 10 – Sunday, March 12
Location: Central Manama

A team of Parkour (or free-running) experts will use nothing but their skill and dexterity to cross the landmarks of Bahrain’s capital city Manama and the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) during the Grand Prix weekend. They will run, jump, climb and use other techniques to negotiate obstacles in their path without any technical assistance.

Crown Prince and BDF Commander-in-Chief Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa will host a “sumptuous” welcome to the Formula One community, support races and international media. Features a blend of traditional Bahraini culture and the latest stage performances including classical music, breakdancing, fire dancers and magical illusions.
Bahraini Spectacular
Date: Saturday, March 11
Location: Central Manama
Time: 4pm
A spectacular street parade featuring a military band, fire dancers, jugglers and 500 schoolchildren will make its way through Central Manama towards a purpose-built stadium beside the Shaikh Salman Bridge. Here the evening’s entertainment will include world-renowned Arabic musicians in concert and a dazzling multimedia presentation on the history of Bahrain culminating in a firework extravaganza to herald the forthcoming race.
