Abdulla Al Thawadhi and Adam SalemUnstoppabulls Racing Team owned by HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamed bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed two young racers into the team; nine year old Abdulla Al Thawadhi and twelve year old Adam Salem. Both were identified by team members during practice sessions at the local Karting track. Abdulla and Adam have already begun training sessions to familiarize themselves with racing techniques, following lines of racing and to gain more experience. They have adjusted well with the other members of the team who have taken the two youngsters under their wing. This is the first time the Unstoppabulls Racing Team since its’ formation has taken on such young racers, but with the number of events increasing at the Bahrain International Circuit, these two promising and enthusiastic drivers are surely the future motor racing stars.

“The Unstoppabulls began as a modest Karting team and today we are known as the team of champions. The skills our racers have acquired are due to their experience gained during karting events championships and practice sessions. Karting not only enables budding racing drivers to take their first steps towards stardom, but also an opportunity to sample the excitement, exhilaration and pure fun of driving a real racing kart. I welcome Abdulla and Adam to our Unstoppabulls Racing Team family and I wish them the very best of luck” said Unstoppabulls Team Owner, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamed bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Unstoppabulls Racing Team has grown in the last five years to world class level but will benefit from the injection of young and enthusiastic talent to continue the growth and development of the team. The youngest of the Unstoppabulls Racing Team, Grade 4 Bahrain Bayan School student Abdulla Al Thawadhi, born in BDF Hospital on 26th June 1996 – is the eldest of two children. Abdulla drove a kart for the first time when he was just seven years old and now practices regularly with the team. Abdulla’s father, Abdul Azi has been a great source of encouragement for his son. Grade 7 Modern Knowledge School student Adam Salem was born in Awali Hospital in Bahrain on 17th August 1993. Adam experienced driving a kart for the first time when he was just 10years old but for the last year he has been practicing once a week. Adam lives in Um Al Hassam with his father and is the third born child out of four who has this passion for motor racing.

The vast majority of Formula One drivers started their motor racing careers at an early age in karts, including British Grand Prix and Le Mans winner Johnny Herbert, former F1 World and Indy Car champion Nigel Mansell. Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, David Coulthard, Juan Pablo Montoya and current young F1 stars Jenson Button, Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso.
